Ascend Day on the Hill adventure!

Thanks for checking out our first blog post!

Recently Lily (student activist and volunteer) and Cera (Real Options/Care Net Teen Health Coordinator) ventured to the great Washington, D.C. to advocate for sexual risk avoidance (abstinence) health education. It was a day filled with meetings, adventures, Shake Shack hamburgers, and even fun conversations with locals on why we were there! Check out some of our photos and email us (carenetteenhealth@gmail.com) for ways that YOU can be active in promoting healthy lifestyles in Schuylkill County. Also, be sure to check out Ascend and watch this video on the difference between SRA and SRR education.

"Being educated about abstinence will allow teenagers to develop a more healthier lifestyle by avoiding the risks that come along with being sexual active." -- Lily Stoyer
